MY FAV!!!

So maybe you are not suppose to have a favorite room like you are not suppose to have a favorite kid...but I do - the room, not the kid!  I love our "formal" living area.  We are not really going formal in this house - more of a vintage, shabby, antique, eclectic vibe (LOL).  I love this room - it is full of random things that make it a great place.  I have bought a few things, but was able to reuse pieces from the other house, just in a new way.  The chair is part of our living room set, but I decided to put it in the formal area after my parents gave us two of their old recliners.  The trunk (coffee table) and the butter worker table were in the old house, they were just not used like this.  I even used the cow hide rug and pillows from our old game room.  The curtains were also a hand me down from my mom (got to love when she decides to redecorate).  We bought a black, pub sized, distressed table from Ashley Furniture, for the "formal" dining area, but it is not here yet - I think next week.

I had the screen and the column in Austin (and a few of the deco pieces), I recently bought the dresser and the lamps.
These three plates were given to me by my mother-in-law.  After she visited our Austin house, she thought they would fit in well with our decor.  I am not sure how old they are, but she has had them for many, many years.  I bought the gigantic fork and spoon with wedding gift cards almost six years ago.
This is the light in our Butler's Pantry.  It has a burlap ring in it.  I also bought a large burlap coffee sack that I am going to use as a table runner (if we ever get our table delivered).  My mom has it so she can sew some cute fringe around the edges.
This is the 1 of 2 pieces I bought off of Craigslist (my first ever CL purchase).  I decided to make it into a "bar" of sorts.
I had the rake in our Austin Kitchen.  This is sooooo much cuter (thank you Pinterest).
Dan hung our large piece of stained glass a few nights ago.  Funny how it looks like I bought it specifically for that window.  I am so glad we can use it again.  It is a little piece of Austin - I bought it from Trudy's as I drank one too many Mexican Martinis.
